Sharing Portal Communication adds a simple, built-in comment thread to each KYC request, so counterparties can ask questions directly in the Sharing Portal and KYC managers can reply without moving the conversation back and forth over email.
What this enables
Two-way communication between the KYC Manager and the Counterparty
Available in both Collector and Responder workflows
Email notifications are sent whenever a new comment is posted, so recipients are alerted and can jump straight back into the relevant request
How it works
When the counterparty leaves a comment in the Sharing Portal (for example, asking if they can upload an alternative document), the KYC manager will see the same comment inside the request and can reply. The counterparty then receives an email notification and can return to the Sharing Portal to continue the conversation in the same thread.
Important behavior to know
Request-level comments only: this is a straightforward comment section tied to the overall request.
Comments are not linked to individual questions, fields, documents, or specific items inside the request.
Separate thread per request: each request has its own comment thread (so conversations don’t overlap across different requests).
Closed request behavior: when a request is closed, the comments disappear from view.
