What this feature is for
The Reorganize tool helps you clean up the layout of a legal entity structure with one click.
You can use it to:
- reduce overlaps between entities and lines
- tighten the layout of the visible structure
- improve readability
- prepare cleaner exports and shared views
- save time compared with moving many items manually
Important to know
Before you start, keep these points in mind:
- Reorganize works best in a dedicated view
- It affects only the current view
- It does not change the underlying company, officer, or relation data
- Reorganize works on the items that are currently visible in the view
- If you do not like the result, you can use undo to reverse it
How to use Reorganize
- Open the relevant company and go to Legal entity structure
- Open the view you want to work in
- Enter Edit mode
- Make any visibility changes you need first
Click Reorganize in the side menu
Avallone will then automatically adjust the layout of the visible structure to make it more compact and easier to read.
What Reorganize does
Reorganize helps by automatically arranging the visible elements in a cleaner way.
Depending on the structure, this can help:
- bring entities closer together
- reduce empty space
- reduce overlaps
- make relationship lines easier to follow
improve the visual result before export or sharing
The result may vary depending on how large or complex the structure is, but it is often a strong starting point for further editing.
Best time to use Reorganize
Reorganize is especially useful after you have already made other changes to the view.
For example, you may want to use it after:
- hiding parents
- hiding officers
- hiding companies from specific countries
- adding or removing visible items
- preparing a focused structure for a specific audience
This helps the structure adjust to the items that remain visible.
Use Reorganize together with other tools
A common workflow is:
- Create or open a view
- Use Bulk or Elements to hide or adjust what should be shown
- Use Details to simplify the card information if needed
- Click Reorganize to improve the layout
- Make small final manual edits if needed
- Export or share the final view
When to use Reorganize instead of manual editing
Use Reorganize when you want the system to create a cleaner layout automatically.
This is especially helpful when:
- the structure looks messy after edits
- the visible items are too spread out
- you want a faster starting point before fine-tuning manually
- you need a cleaner export without moving everything yourself
Use manual editing when you want full control over the exact final placement of specific items.
Best practice
For the best results:
- work in a dedicated view
- make your visibility changes first
- run Reorganize after larger edits
- review the structure afterwards and make final small adjustments if needed
- use undo if the layout is not what you want
FAQ
Does Reorganize change the underlying structure?
No. It only changes the layout of the current view.
Can I undo a Reorganize action?
Yes. If you do not like the result, use undo to go back.
Should I use Reorganize before or after hiding items?
Usually after. Reorganize works on what is currently visible, so it is best to first hide anything you do not want to show.
Will the reorganized view appear in exports?
Yes. The layout of the current view can be reflected in exports and shares from that view.
Does Reorganize always create the perfect layout?
Not always. It gives you a faster and cleaner starting point, but you may still want to make a few manual adjustments for the final result.
