Share different KYC packages from Avallone depending on what you would like to send to your Counterparties.
What a package is
A package is a curated set of information you share from Avallone—typically to a bank, auditor, law firm, or other third party. A package can include:
- Company and officer overview data (selected fields)
- Documents (company/officer/global)
- Questionnaires (completed in Avallone)
- The legal entity structure (if needed)
When to use Packages vs Cases
- Use Packages (standalone) when it’s a one-off share and you don’t need to track a broader back-and-forth.
- Use a Case when you expect multiple rounds with the same counterparty (new questions, new package versions, follow-ups). In a case you can still create packages, but you keep everything organized under one workstream.
Where packages live
- Packages tab: shows packages across all workstreams.
- Inside a Case: package history is tracked per case.
- From a Company/Officer profile: you can often create a package directly from the profile.
Creating a package (typical flow)
- Click Create package
- Select what the package is about:
- Company (and optionally related officers)
- Officer (for an officer-only share)
- Curate what to include:
- Company/officer fields (overview sections)
- Documents
- Questionnaires
- Legal entity structure (if relevant)
- Use Preview to confirm the output
- Create & share (email) or Generate link (depending on your workflow)
Tips for curating content (avoid over-sharing)
- Only include the sections that are requested (e.g., if the counterparty only asked for officer names + titles, avoid attaching full document sets).
- If you need to share officer information, make sure each officer is properly linked to the relevant company.
- If you reuse the same content repeatedly, store it in Global documents so it’s always available.
Reusing a package when the counterparty comes back with more questions
If you have a follow-up request (common with banks):
- In the package history, use Clone & customize to duplicate the last package
- Add/remove only what changed
- Share the updated version
Sharing options (what to expect)
- Sharing typically results in a downloadable zip for the recipient (documents and questionnaires separated into folders).
- If links are blocked by a recipient’s environment, sharing via email/download may work better; otherwise a generated link can be used.
Common pitfalls
- If a questionnaire PDF is security-restricted, digitization may fail; in those cases you may need an alternate version of the PDF or a workaround process.
- If data is synced from a source system (e.g., Diligent/XRM/GEMS), don’t edit those synced fields in Avallone unless you expect them to be overwritten.
