What Package history is
Package history gives you a clear audit trail for the packages created from a Responder case. You can use it to see:
- Which packages have been created
- Whether a package has been shared
- Who received it
- Whether access happened through email or link
- Whether a recipient has accessed or downloaded the package
- When key actions happened
Where to find it
- Open the relevant case in KYC Responder.
- Click Package history.
- Select a package to open its details.
What you can review
Package overview
- Package name
- Date it was created
- The current share status
- Whether a link has been generated
Recipient activity
- Who the package was shared with
- Whether each recipient has downloaded it
- When access or download happened
Package contents
- Which files, questionnaires, and other items were included in that package version
- A point-in-time record of what was shared at that moment
Actions you can take from Package history
- Open details to review the package
- Download the package again
- Generate link if you want to share through a secure link
- Send a reminder if a recipient has not opened the package yet
- Clone & customize to create a new version for follow-up questions
- Revoke access when needed, depending on the package's current state
When to use Package history
Use Package history when you want to:
- Confirm exactly what was shared
- Check whether a recipient has accessed the package
- Follow up with recipients who have not downloaded it yet
- Reuse a previous package instead of building one from scratch
- Keep an audit trail for internal review or external documentation
Best practices
- Use one case for one ongoing KYC conversation so all package versions stay together.
- Give packages clear names before sharing them.
- Review the package details before sending reminders or follow-ups.
- Use Clone & customize when a third party comes back with a new question instead of recreating the full package manually.
Quick example
- You create and share a package with a bank.
- Later, you open Package history to check whether it has been downloaded.
- If it has not been opened, you send a reminder.
- If the bank asks for one extra document, you use Clone & customize to create an updated version.
- The new version is added to the same history, making it easy to follow the full sharing timeline.
